It's been 6 months to the day since the last day of my so called retail planning career (or at least so I thought at the time). I allowed myself a 6 months' break from being a working girl. Truth be told, being laid off during these tough economic times, 6 months is normal if not necessary. I also put job hunting on hold until after a long and deserving vacation. Let's face it, what new job, even if I was lucky enough to land one, would hire me (or anyone for that matter) and let me take off for 3 weeks just months on the job?! Certainly not one in the retail industry.
I am currently in the ancient city of Ephesus on a vacation of a lifetime-- a 12- days cruise through the Mediterranean-- the main reason as to why I've been less than motivated to get back to work so soon. With just 3 days left on this amazing adventure, I am now facing the remorse of returning to the "real world". These days, searching for a job is a job in itself. Time could not have passed by faster.

But alas, it's time to wake up and open a new chapter, embark on a new beginning. As if it isn't maintenance enough to keep up with my existing travel blog, I've created this-- a day in the life and every thought in between. Here's to happy job hunting!
